We're just off Stringtown Rd, a half-mile from the I-71 exit, on the rail-side of the lot. Look for the navy container office and the hand-painted sign.

Walk-ins welcome any weekday. Bring straps if you're picking up; we have spare ones but not always.

Federal holidays: closed. We post weather closures on the homepage by 6 AM if a storm shuts the yard.

Yard tours

Informal yard tours run Tuesday and Thursday mornings, by email confirmation only. Bring closed-toe shoes; the gravel is loose. We'll show you the wash bay, the cage shop, the granulator, and (if you ask) the world's-most-over-engineered cutting jig.

Press, students, and curious neighbors all welcome. We've hosted four high-school field trips; you'll fit in.

We're in the small-industrial corridor of Grove City, southwest of downtown Columbus. The closest cross-streets are Stringtown Rd and Holton Rd; we're a half-mile from I-71 exit 100. Forklift access is on the rail-side of the lot.

Directions

The yard is in the small-industrial corridor of Grove City, southwest of downtown Columbus. Most navigation apps land you within a block; the entrance is on the south side of Hendrix Dr.

From downtown Columbus

Take I-71 South to Exit 100 (Stringtown Rd). Turn west on Stringtown Rd, go about a half-mile, then south on Hendrix Dr. We're on the right, ~200 yards in. Total drive: ~15 minutes from downtown.

From the airport (CMH John Glenn)

Take I-270 West to I-71 South, then Exit 100 as above. ~25 minutes.

From Cincinnati

I-71 North to Exit 100. ~1h 45min from downtown Cincinnati.

From Cleveland

I-71 South to Exit 100. ~2h 20min from downtown Cleveland.

From Indianapolis

I-70 East to I-270 South to I-71 South to Exit 100. ~3h.

From Pittsburgh

I-70 West to I-270 South to I-71 South to Exit 100. ~3h 15min.

Parking & truck access

  • Visitor parking: 6 spots on the north side of the office container, marked.
  • Pickup truck loading: Drive past the office container, follow the gravel road to the receiving bay. Forklift will meet you.
  • Tractor-trailer access: Pull through the back gate (sign-posted "freight"); receiving will direct you to the right loading position.
  • EV charging: One Level 2 J1772 charger by the office, free for visitors. Slow but functional.

What to bring on a pickup

  • Photo ID and your purchase order number.
  • Truck or trailer with capacity for your load.
  • Straps (we have spares but not always enough for a full load).
  • If forklift-only access (you don't have your own loader), let us know in advance.

Yard tour scheduling

We run informal yard tours Tuesday and Thursday mornings, by email confirmation. Tours take 45 minutes, end with coffee, and cover: receiving, sorting, wash bay, cage shop, fab shop, granulator, dispatch, office.

To schedule: email hello@ibccolumbus.com with "tour request" in the subject and a couple of date options. Closed-toe shoes required.
